ABOUT MARCH DANCE

March Dance has been created to support independent dance artists in Sydney.

March Dance will bring together the diversity of ongoing independent dance practice in Sydney; opening these activities to a wide audience.

March Dance will see 120 artists, 10 organisations in 10 venues throughout Sydney presenting new dance works, engaging in workshops, dance classes, residencies, sharings, screenings, forums and talks throughout the entire month. Showcasing the dynamic ongoing work of dance artists and organisations here in the City of Sydney and in a range of spaces and contexts.

March Dance is a project of Independent Dance Alliance (IDA) a collaboration between Critical Path, DirtyFeet and ReadyMade Works who have joined forces with other companies and organisations to support artists’ participation in this month-long dance festival, celebrating the culture of independent dance in Sydney.

Together they have created March Dance a place to shine the spotlight on independent dance.
